Meet Rashan A. Gary
American Football Player
Rashan Gary is a professional American football player who currently plays as a Edge Rusher for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) wearing #52. He was born on December 3, 1997, in Plainfield, New Jersey. Mr. Gary was the No.1 high school recruit in 2016, & tied as the highest rated recruit all- time nationally and for the University of Michigan. Mr. Gary was drafted by the Packers as the 12th pick overall in the first round of the 2019. He is known for his impressive athleticism, strength, and versatility and legendary work ethic. Mr. Gary was drafted by the Packers as the 12th pick overall in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. field. The New Jersey native garnered his first athletic scholarship at age 11 and larger national recognition beginning in 8th grade.
Rashan Gary is also a Business Owner, Executive, Entrepreneur & Philanthropist. A pioneer in what is referred to as NIL. Mr. Gary created & protected his Intellectual Property while at the University of Michigan including his RG branded logo. Him and his mother was featured on the Documentary on Amazon prime 2018 “Michigan Wolverines All or Nothing”. In 2019 he was featured on NFL Films Documentary NFL Draft Destination Nashville.
He is Dyslexic & an ambassador for Dyslexia for prominent organizations such as Made By Dyslexia. In May 2022 the Green Bay Packers picked up Rashan’s 5th year team option for $10.9 Million. On October 30, 2023 Rashan signed a 4 year extension with the Green Bay Packers for $107. 5 Million. At time of signing is the highest contract for defensive player in the history of the Green Bay Packers & Michigan Wolverines, including the 11st Highest Signing Bonus in NFL History. The third highest as a Non Quarterback at $34.6 Million. Mr. Gary representation was through his company RG Sports. His company is also a pioneer as the first of it’s kind entering the professional ranks in Sports Business history.
ADVOCATE FOR OTHERS
Rashan Gary is committed to using his platform for advocacy, and has supported numerous organizations focused on sports and childhood education. Each year, Gary participates in the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign, which allows athletes to customize and auction cleats for a charity of their choice. Made By Dyslexia, a global nonprofit that provides resources for teachers and empowers dyslexic thinkers, has teamed up with Gary who is now the Ambassador for dyslexia awareness.
